Beginning Tuesday, September 6, at about 9 a.m. and lasting two weeks, the ramp from Highland Street to westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard will be closed to allow the City’s contractor to repair the ramp.
Motorists who normally use this ramp to travel westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard are advised to use an alternate route during the days of closure. Delays are to be expected.
For northbound Highland traffic, the signed detour route will make use of Summer Avenue, Tillman Street and Sam Cooper Boulevard. For southbound Highland traffic, the signed detour route will make use of the eastbound exit ramp from Highland Street to eastbound Sam Cooper Boulevard, Sam Cooper Boulevard, the exit ramp to northbound Graham Street, and the exit ramp from Graham Street to westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard.
